Hi,
Anyone out here in cyberspace living in CA, especially the Bay Area?
Lived in SF for 30+ years; moved 15 miles north to Marin County several years ago.
Though I'm still legally married, I've been living separately for almost 10 years. My daughter is now graduated from UC Santa Cruz and is "launched."
Went back to school at the age of 49 and got an M.A. in Special Education (Mild/Moderate Learning Disabilities). I'm semi-retiired, and work part-time in private practice as a Learning Specialist.

rare type of kidney cancer five years ago. I have survived two surgeries and chemo and am deeply grateful to be alive. I'm enjoying life more than ever.
I have a pet: a lovebird who thinks he is a parrot. Didn't know I was a "bird person" until we got him ten years ago. My daughter and I had gone to the pet store to buy a guinea pig, but left the store with a bird instead; it was lovebird at first sight.)
I'm in the process of converting to Judaism (Reform-type), and loving the process.
