Donna Foucachon:

CLASS OF 1969
Winter park, FL

Donna's Story

After graduating from WPHS, I attended FSU for two years and two quarters, then transferred to Gordon College in Wenham, MA. There I experienced the joy of the integration of faith and learning. I graduated from Gordon in 1974, and then taught French at my alma mater, good 'ole WPHS! I took a group of high school students on a travel study program to France that first summer. That led to a return to France in 1976 to work in a Christian youth ministry. There I met the man who would become my husband, Francis Foucachon. He had been trained as a chef in the elite world of Lyonnaise gastronomy, but was being trained as a pastor when I met him. We were married in Winter Park in November 1978, and moved to Lyon, France, ...Expand for more
where Francis pastored a church. We moved to Winter Park in 1989 so that Francis could learn my culture and language. We spent 2 1/2 years there before we moved to Aix-en-Provence, France where Francis attended the Reformed Theological Seminary. He graduated in 1986. We then moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where he was ordained, in 1987, at Briarwood Presbyterian Church. We then were sent by Mission to North America of the Presbyterian Church in America to do church-planting in Quebec, Canada. We lived there for 8 years and left a church behind that we loved very much. We then moved to Birmingham, AL again for 1 1/2 years, and left there to moved to Lyon, France to do church-planting as part of Mission to the World.
