Life After graduation in 1961 I went to San Jose Hospital Nursing School where I became a registered nurse. I worked for 5 years before getting married to John Cowan, a computer systems programmer. on counselor, taught parenting classes, continuing ed classes for other nurses and medical staff, etc. After our 3 children finished with college, I went back to school to be come a nurse practitioner. I work part time at a women's and children's community health center and enjoy it very much.
