Donna's Story
From the night after our Grad night
party - my life has been so much more
than I ever imagined. Was able to
work for Disney and then into their
hotel divisions. Have spent a lifetime as a Sales Manager in the
hotel industry. Have been able to see parts of the world that I could have never imagined, all because of the benefits this industy offers.
Was married, have a fantastic 31 year
old daughter that has been the pride of my life - at 14 years old she won the Miss Teen USA Title and "mom" got to come along on most of her adventures. She attended college in
Boston and is now a Dr. living in
Memphis.
Am now single - but enjoying myself with my best friend Cheryl (Haney) and
a zillion friends I have been blessed
with.
Between the ages of 18 and 21 I was
in a world championship...Expand for more
drum and bugle corps - The Anaheim Kingsmen. The most magical opportunity came my way -
the Kingsmen were invited to appear at the Rose Bowl at the Drum Corps National competition in 2008. For two
years over 350 of us reunited, practiced, attended 3 week long camps
and ordered uniforms identical to those we wore in 1970. We gave up
an amzing amount of time, sweat and
money and we marched onto the field
last August and rocked the Rose Bowl
beyond even our wildest expectations.
We re-did the same show that we won
with in 1972 - and it was magical.
We have been together marching in
parades and performing at large
conventions in Anaheim. It has
been absolutely wonderful!! (Plus
we partied like rock stars!!!)
So there you go!! I feel like a
very blessed person -life is Grand!!
