Donya's Story
Life
Since graduation I went to VC to gain my VN degree in nursing, and I have lived all over in the U.S., had 9 children, 5 of which were born at home. They are Cindy, who has 7 children and is living in Cedar City,UT., David, who has 1 daughter and lives in Seattle,WA., Darrell recently transferred from Korea to Renton, WA.who has 2 children, Daniel, who has 2 children, who is also living in Seattle, Shanna, with her 3 children living in Spokane, WA. Brett, who has 2 boys, who is living in Bakersfield, CA., Heather, with 2 daughters, who lives in Missoula, MT & Holli with 3 children, living in Spokane, WA , (Heather & Holli are twins), and Tiana, who recently married and relocated to the Kernville are of CA. I have home educated them all. The last 5 were born at home.
Tiana and I moved from Washington state to Kernville, CA to be near my father who just recently passed away at the age of 91. He was amazing! Just 2 years ago he was canoeing in an underground cavern in Belize, Central America. He died of Metastatic Melanoma.
For those of you who knew him, my brother Russ passed away in 2003 from mesothelioma. He lived in the Ventura area most of his life after getting back from his mission in Bolivia, Chili & Peru.
My mother passed away the year after I graduated from VC, from a drug incompatability, which possibly caused me to be more open to alternative medicine, that ...Expand for more
I have become an advocate of. I raised all of my children with no immunizations after doing some research on that issue, and used herbal treatments, quite successfully, to care for the majority of their health needs as they grew up.
In recent years I have chosen to "retire" from nursing, which I felt limited my healing talents. I have discovered my dream job (my own business)which is helping actually heal people rather than just treat or mask the conditions, and I love it!
I enjoy helping people, reading, learning, geneaology, gardening, spending time with family, keeping in touch with friends, traveling, watching a good movie once in a while, writing, poetry, and history.
I moved to MT recently to be more centrally located to my children, but have purchased some acreage in Ford, WA that I'm planning to put a home on, soon.
I have heard from Tavorn Kamboonreang, and would like to hear from her again. She was an exchange student from over in Cambodia somewhere.
I'd like to re-connect with Becky Johnson (Carr), Judy Jacobs, Donna Kornder, Connie Rogers, Pene Herdfelder, Sue Freeman, Nevanne Grabendike, Patsy Ball, Chris Cratch, Carol Coleman, Sharon Dillon, Jean or Joan Chapman, Dianne Hughes, Becky Palmer, Elaine Shrum, Sandy Trice, and Pat Wilson...for now.
I would enjoy hearing from anyone else who remembers me. I will be adding to this when I have time. Bye!
