Doreen's Story
I married at age 17. Had my first child at 19 yrs old.
I have 6 children. Ages range from 14 to 33 yrs old. Five daughters (all grown and on their own) and 1 son (the youngest) still at home. I also have 6 grandchildren.
I still live in Philadelphia.
I have recently retired from the Corporate world (number cruncher).
My dream home would be in the mountains. (maybe when my husband retires)
I love to hang out with my family and friends.
My favorite thing to do on a summer day is to...Pack a lunch,throw a blanket and chairs in the trunk and take a ride to a secluded beach in Sandy Hook. Just me and my husband. There is nothing more relaxing than closing your eyes and listening to the sounds of the ocean. After a couple of hours we pack up, stop for a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee from the drive through and enjoy our drive home. t cup of coffee. That's about as close to a perfect day for me as one could be. (Until a Jersey driver cuts in front of us without using his turn signal and starts a road rage incident) LOL Just kidding.
If I won $100 million, I would buy a beach house.
My current age is 52.
When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely wrong.
My first crush died when we were 14 yrs old.
I share my home with my husband and son. Life is good.
My first job was at McDonald s, where I got paid $5.00 to work the counter. What I remember most about it is quitting after a week..
My last job was in the corporate office of the largest wholesale distributor of imprintable sportswear in the country. I however was just a lowly cog in the wheel. LOL
The craziest childhood memory I'll never forget was....
My father attacking a crazy weirdo neighbor man for whistling at me when I was 12.
