Dorianne's Story
Life
After high school, I joined the Army. Went to boot camp at Ft. Jackson S. Carolina, then to the Navy School of Music in Norfolk, VA where I met my first husband who was in the Navy (from GA) and got married (no kids). I then went to my permanent station at Ft. Sheridan, IL and was in the 81st Army Band until September 1978. After my then husband got out of the Navy, he joined me in IL and couldn't handle the weather so after I got out of the service, I moved to Hull, GA (they didn't even have a traffic light when I got here). Went to Athens Tech for legal secretary, stayed married for 5 years, got divorced, moved back to WI for 3 months, moved back to GA (to try to work it out with my ex). rom FL (who was never going to get married again either), got married, bought a house, had a son and we'll be married 22 years in May 2007. Our son is 19 - he'll be 20 July 2007 (and I'll be 50!!)
We have 3 beagles Olive, Jack, and Jill that we take out to let them run rabbits (I don't rabbit hunt). We did raise beagles for a little while (they are so adorable when they're puppies). My husband and I love to go fishing and he loves to deer hunt. We live just outside of Athens, GA (home of the Georgia Bulldogs) and we love to watch college and professional football.
I didn't make it to the 30 year reunion - and I hate that I had to miss it. I started a new job February of 2006 with a CPA firm which I love!! I do a miriade of jobs including receptionist, bookkeeper, payroll, and assembling tax returns. Wish I would have found this job 10 years ago.
