Life
I have been married twice - my first husband is deceased (we married in 1970) we spent 10 years together again before he passed away December 2003 - He attended Harrison High graduating class of 1963 (Fred Martin)- 2nd marriage I will not discuss lasted 13th years divorced after 17 years (last name Sims) a guy from Bentonia Miss. - I Worked in the Legal field for many years. Presently retired from Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago after 27 years of service with them - Was a District Administrator and retired as an advocate for the indigent in Public Benefit(s) Law (Social Security, Public Aid, Housing, Unemployment), some battered women and Bankruptcy.
I have two living children (2 girls) I have two children that are deceased (girl and boy) - I am a grandmother of 4 (ages 6 - 23) and a great grandmother (age 3 months) of 1 - My oldest grandchild attended Clark Atanta University - I still live on the mighty Westside, I attend Lawndale Community Church and the greatest thing in my life is my mother is still living.
I just bought another van (Monterey from Westgate Lincoln & Mercury) it has everything except a TV and toliet.
I go to the movies every Tuesday ($5.00) day, - I write poetry, I still go out and try to dance a little, I like dinning out - cook occasionally - like to BBQ every now and then - presently overweight - Ho...Expand for more
wever, I am teaching tap dancing, ballet and praise dancing every Saturday morning at the Churches Medical center in a room under the fitness center on the 1st floor.
As of today March 29 2008 - I have to great grand son's Michael is 2 years old and Christin is 5 months old
Happy New Year 2009 - New man in my life younger than me - but got a whole lot of sense and mature and works - never thought this would happen to me - but it did - He's good for me - gives me energy (lol) -
Update on Family
My Mom is still wwell and alive and that is the best blessing I have and I pray for more years with her even though she works my nerve and you know they think u never grow up.
Grandchildren are now 26, 15, 13, and 8 - greatgranchildren are 3 and 1 (I think? lol) Don't do to much babysitting - because I got a life (let's all say AMEN)- Two daughters 43 and 34 - two decease (girl and boy) they would be 40 and 38
Conversation today with my friends is about all of our ailment's - never thought this would come across my lips. It is so hard to believe I am 60 years old - but I am thankful because many of our friends are gone now - I was just a young girl in High School not to long ago - what about all of you? Have a great 2009 and for those of you that are having it hard out there - HOLD ON A CHANGE WILL COME IN YOUR LIFE - JUST PUT GOD FIRST - LOVE YOU ALL
