Doris's Story
Got married at 18, ended up in occupied Japan, had a daughter there - she became a grandmother earlier this year :o) Worked at various jobs as secretary, did a stint in Oklahoma managing 34 buildings, worked for insurance companies, environmental company, Kaiser Aluminum in Oakland. Had a second marriage and two more children, boy and girl. Have five grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Retired and living in Marin at the Redwoods Retirement Community - been here eight years and love it. ere now - going to look again though. Does anyone out there have a copy - we put it on in the spring of 1943. I've been volunteer ushering for about 30 years - SF Opera, SF Jazz, venues in Marin. Also trying to finish a book I've been writing for years. I'm in the Mill Valley, Marin phone book if anyone wants to contact me.

Sitting in an empty lot on top of Potrero Hill and watching the Bay Bridge being built at night - all you could really see were blinking lights, but we could imagine what was going on :o)
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to my kids, then spend the rest on a house,, traveling and my grandkids..
