Dorothy's Story
Hello everyone. Well, I'll try to put my life into Cliffs-notes, so to speak. My life, in short, has been a fairy tale. I married Leon, my soul mate in 1970, an extraordinarily wonderful man! In 1971 we went overseas and lived in Malaysia for two years. Then we moved to and lived in Pura, Peru for a year. Then on to Panama (Canal Zone) where we lived for a year, where our daughter was born. From there we moved to Lima, Peru and lived there a year. Came back to the States awhile, then moved to Cartegena, Columbia, living there a year. Then we moved to Medan, Indonesia, was there a year then on to Jakarta, Indonesia where we lived for five years. While there our son was born in Singapore. We returned to the States when he was two years old. We lived in Texas until our son was sixteen then moved to the beautiful mountains of Idaho. My husband was consulting in North Dakota when he passed away with a heart attack on 11/12/2011, nine years after we moved here. Fairytale ended.

rding us the incredible opportunity to live in and travel to many countries, learning other peoples cultures and their way of life. It has been an adventure I will never forget. A life beautifully lived. And I thank God for all of this.
I will remain in Idaho. I love it's wild beauty, and the serenity and peace that it offers. It's home.
I have learned that life is about change, and we must accept that, and always appreciate each day as they come and go. There is still so much left to see and do and to accomplish. You will not find me sitting in a corner swaying back and forth with a coloring book and crayon feeling sorry for myself. (Although it's crossed my mind a few times.) :-) Obstacles and tragedies in life are just that, LIFE. Accept the sting of it and go on.
I've enjoyed reading the stories of others on here. And stand in awe of the accomplishments so many of you have achieved. Most have lived interesting, wonderful lives. We are all so fortunate.
Looking forward to hearing from you~
