I started working at Nationwide Insurance in 1973 as a keypunch operator, a year later I transferred to accounting. In 1978 I met my husband in February, right after the blizzard of "78". We were married 6 months later on August 18,1978. My oldest son Donald Jr. was born November 1st 1979. When my son was a year old my husband had the first of many back surgeries about 10 altogether. It was very hard watching my husband go thru all he did and taking care of my little boy and working full time. I finallly decided to transfer to claims where I could work part time but make more money. I eventually took my state exam to become an adjuster. Nine years after having my 1st son I became pregnant again. Brian was born 6weeks premature weighing in at only 4 8 ounces. He was small but healthy. At this point I left work to stay home. My sons are now 29 and 20.Donnie is married and Brian goes to Boston University. He is a junior this year.
