Dorothy's Story

I am a nurse, working for a practice in concord. it's a long way from home, but I love the Doc's and most of the people i work with!! I have 3 amazing children, Mar the oldest owns 2 restaurants in the Auburn, NY area Gretchen is a nurse at Norwood Hospital, in the ER, so if ever there say hi!! to Gretchen, and my youngest, Bill, is a 19 year cancer surviver and currently a firefighter in the town of Millis,, I have 5 grandchildren, the newest, Brody was born 9/14/08.. why didn't they tell us grandparenting was way better than parenting!! would have had Liam, Abigail, Megan, Jack, and Brody 1st!! Grandchildren are awesome! My oldest son and his wife, own 2 restaurants in the Auburn,NY area, so any one living in the area, please check out The Cascade Grill!!and Bistro one, right on genessee st.. you will have a wonderful time!! I would love to hear from any former classmates, 65-68,, and does ANY ONE know where Tom O'Callahan is? I've got Wayne Frazier, Donald Richad, Buddy MacDonald from Stop and Shop and recently Eddie Hughes... any one else out there??? hope to hear from you all soon!! Any one on face book??? i'm just learning that, and haven't got a picture posted there yet either,,, my friend is supposed to be doing it,, but he's young, has better things to do!! my youngest son, Bill is my hero.. dealing with cancer, chemo, and bone marrow transplant at the age of 10, and...Expand for more
doing it with laughter and fun, making new friends. he is great inspiration The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is tommy O'Callahan, because we had such fun working at stop and shop.. became good friends, and lost touch over the years . If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a porch for a jacuzzi . My dream home would be on the Maine coastline . My kids have taught me to be who you are, not who you think others want you to be. Be honest, share your feelings. If I won $100 million, I'd give 5 million of it to the Jimmy Fund, then spend the rest on pay the kids mortgages, a home in maine coast and new car and a boat. why? who knows!!. My best friend would tell you I'm crazy, free spirit , but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as old nana!!. jeans, t-shirts, and birks... nothing more comfy than that. I share my home with my cat louise , which I find a comfort, so as i'm not living alone!. Does a divorce decree count as a trophy??? In 10 years, I hope to be retired!!. I'm going to get there by find some old man, just like anna nicole did. Barbara and I met while working at Leonard morse hospital.. we just hit it off, our youngest kids were the same age, they went to all the same school trips, Barb and i were chaperones. then we all went camping, every one became friends, and we've been friends for 30 years now..
