Dorothy-Jean Lloyd:  

It is a long story - since it's been almost 40 years since we graduated. I followed my interest in music; I went to UBC - got my BMus there, Juilliard School (Professional Studies) and finally UCLA for a MM and DMA (doctor of musical arts). I lived in Paris for a couple of years (singing mostly at the Paris Opera) and returned to Canada and sang where ever I was engaged. I moved to LA and married a cellist in the LA Phil that I met at Juilliard. Sadly - it was not meant to be and I eventually met someone else, had a daughter with him. I moved to the Chicago area with Melanie's dad and eventually parted ways, although he is still very involved in her life. Now I am a single mom. I teach voice and have a great many talented students. I am an advocate for music education for at risk populations in Chicago Public Schools - for a private foundation. I also have a MAT in Special Education and I work with children - adults with learning disabilities. Needless to say it is an unbelievably busy life.
