Dorothy's Story
I married a military man in 1981.We had a son in 1987. Divorced in 2000. I was on my own for the first time in my life-it was scary, but I learned I could take care of myself,and it was geat not having to answer to anyone else about where I was going...etc. I was blessed to find my husband through "dating via internet site". Yes, it really does work out! We have been married 6 years this coming July. Also,I have 2 awesome step kids. My son is getting married this June,so I am gaining another daughter.
Life is great,and I hope to get to the 2011 class reunion! 2012 update-- I was unable...Expand for more
to attend any of the class reunions,but I trust fun was had by all!! I am very blessed this year- my son John, and daughter-in-law, Alyse, welcomed their first child. Anya Marie was born 1-16-2012. So, now I join the ranks of Grandparenthood. I am in California with my granddaughter as I write this. I celebrate the BIG 50 on 3/21-and decided the best place to be is with baby Anya.
My brother, David Smith-class of `82-moved to Illinois this year. Dave and my husband, Jerry have started a .lawn care business. It is going well.
