Dorothy's Story
Fortunately COVID has not so far negatively affected our family even tho’ 2 out of the 4 physicians in our family are front line. Ken & I remain quarantined together at home the majority of the time & are happy we have property so we can cut down a tree every now & then when stress is not released by puzzles, coloring, reading, paint-by-number, Netflix, writing, telephoning, sorting pictures, sitting on the screened-in back porch, choosing a wine for the evening, reminiscing and/or counting our blessings. Did wander to Lake Sunapee in NH for a week with the kids & grands after our scheduled Turks & Caicos 50th Anniversary trip was cancelled due to COVID. Classmates site, it goes without saying that seeing classmate faces pop up we can’t help but remember a lot of you but freely admit that memories fade. Hard to believe my 55th reunion will be in 2022 & Ken’s in 2023. However each of us may feel about our HS years it is without doubt unencumbered by the stresses of students navigating not only the halls of HS today but COVID restrictions as well. Redundant as it may be, we hope you all remain safe, shine your best light especially when dealing with your grands & for just a little while forget that we are adults with responsibilities, block out world cares and do something silly. We owe it to ourselves & others to share a good COVID story when we’re in the Nursing Home.
