Dorothy's Story
May 2009:
Well, it's beginning to feel a lot like Summer! I'm looking forward to the end of the semester and a "short" break before classes begin anew. How's everyone else doing?
I'm enjoying watching the grandkids grow! Sage continues to grow into the most delightful teenager! She's 14 now and getting more and more gorgeous each day! Her intellect amazes me, but it is her heart...one that is full of care and compassion...that is her greatest gift and a joy to behold!
Natalie is 7 months and has a laugh that is infectious, as are her beautiful blue eyes! She began crawling earlier this week. I suspect when I see her on Mother's Day, she'll be running! She's already pulling herself up and grabbing Micah's "things"....which is the cause of many Micah Melt-Downs! What can I say about Micah....he's my grandest boy! He's a real thief....he stole my heart the moment I laid eyes on him! Besides wonderful times with the kids and grandest kids, I keep myself busy teaching and working on faculty issues via my union activities.
I was wondering how many of you are Facebookers? I'm one and would love to connect with other alums via FB. Maybe we can put together a "Class of '67" Facebook group? If anyone is interested, let me know via Reinadr at America Online. (I hope this gets...Expand for more
past the Classmates screeners!).
Take care all!

October 2008
Happy Fall to All!
Since last I wrote, I've become a grandmother once more. Miss Natalie Grace made her grand entrance in August and we are all delighted! Micah, my number one grandson, wasn't exactly overjoyed at relinquishing his spot as the "baby" of the family; however, he's slowly but surely adjusted to his role of "big brother." Sage, my teenage princess, is the BEST big sister and beautiful, dainty Miss Natalie Grace is a beauty!
Life continues to get better and better every day! No complaints, just gratitute for the opportunity to enjoy the best years of my life! I've become very involved in CTA/CCA union activities on behalf of Part-Time Faculty and as a result, have had tohe opportunity to meet and work with exceptional people! I continue to love teaching history and am happy for the opporunity I've had to begin teaching Women's History for the first time ever at my campus!
Work and my volunteer activities are very fulfilling; however, what I love most about my life is the opportunity to spoil my grandkids with love and affection as I watch them grow even more beautiful every day. Life is indeed beautiful!
