Lou Ann's Story
I goofed off for several years after high school and spent five years getting an Associate Degree from Ventura College (in music). I transferred to BYU (in Utah) in 1983 and realized that I have very limited musical talent, so I changed my major to Business Management and spent two more years getting a Bachelor's Degree.
I met my husband, Clair, during my last year of college and we were married in 1985. We have six children ages 8-18 and I refer to them as our six-pack. I was a stay-at-home mom (which I really enjoyed ...Expand for more
and would love to continue) until about four years ago, but we have to do what we have to do, so I'm now working full-time as a Housing Specialist. I work for a non-profit organization helping low-income families pay for their rent.
I have very little time to do anything I enjoy like, gardening, scrapbooking, and playing piano. I do still sing in church choir, which keeps up the music interest, and I spend as much time as I can with my family. We like to go camping and visit the National Parks.
