Doug's Story

I cannot become a great grandfather in September 2024. I’m much too young, at “only 77!” 60 years, this year, since we graduated from Eastglen to start the next phase of our still-young lives. Direct to U of A from Eastglen. BSc. MBA both at U of A, and CPA. Married in Edmonton in 1968 until 1980, when married again in Victoria. 44 wonderful years, in 2024. Moved from Edmonton to Victoria in 1976, then to North Vancouver in 2002. Long career in management at 2 universities, 2 provincial Crown corporations, several B.C. government ministries, and last decade as Chief Operating Officer of large North Vancouver law firm until retired 2012. t of consulting work since, and lots of volunteer work with the local Business Improvement Area Societies, and the Port of Vancouver. Wonderful step family with 3 grandsons, all university grads; eldest starting geology career and married June 2022.. Love to travel. Life is good. Very fond feelings for Edmonton, and Eastglen.. Visit family there about yearly. I welcome any reconnections via Classmates. We could share direct email addresses and I’ll send you a copy of your yearbook photo. Just ask. If you would like a copy of your yearbook photo, or a copy of the 2014 “50th Reunion Book” , send me a Classmates note. Cheers, old friends. Doug
