Doug's Story
I married a gal from Minnesota in 1963 having had only 1 date. We lived in Toronto until 1970 and I had an opportunity to move to Minnesota to work as a process engineer with the 3M Co. I stayed at the company for 7 years setting up various manufacturing lines in Aberdeen SD, Bristol, CT, Wahpeton, ND, Hutchinson, MN and St.Paul, MN. the company that bought my last company. That company, MSP Corp. manufactures biological detectors and I manufactured impactor plates for them. Maryann and I are in our 49th year together and have 4 children. 1 boy and 3 girls. 2 of the girls are adopted. Maryann and I do get back to Toronto at least once a year to see my family. I have lost none of them yet. It is becoming more difficult to get there as Maryann is in fragile health and disabled. I must have solid genes because I am as fit as a horse.
