Doug's Story
Hi, I'm Doug Hayes, I was the tallest person in the class of 1975 (6'10). I went to Hollenbeck elementery, Mango
intermediante, then Fremont High. I didn't graduate with you guys because they made me go to Blaniy because
they didn't know what to do with me. When I went to Fremont you could call me a "hot rodder" or an "orchard person", if you know what that means...Later I went to college for 14 years and caught up! I went on and got 4 degrees, Vocatoinal education, Graphc design, Business and Engineeing. Now I'm employed as as an Engineering Manager at a large solar firm and design high voltage systems for solar farms. I also taught engineering class's at Foothill College and The Masters Instatute back in the 80's and 90's. I've been racing stock cars since the early 80's until now. In the 80's and 90's I raced all over the U.S. I still do it today but more locally. It's a lot of fun, never been hurt (I started racing motorcycles in the 60's and got hurt all the time). I started an abalone farm in the mid 90's and am now one the the largest (5th lagest in the ...Expand for more
U.S.) growers of farmed abalone (90 percent of all my product is sold to one company in Japan). I also opperate a "six-pack" boat that's a 40' Chris Craft Sport Fisherman called the "Abventure" out of Pillar Point (Half Moon Bay) and take out people deep sea fishing, whale watching and scattering ashes of loved ones at sea.
There are many people I wish I could apolgize to for actions I've taken in the past. Alltough I'm comfortable with my current life, I probably wasn't always a "model citizen" I have not contacted anyone as most people have
married and moved on (ya think?)
So now I'm 55, maybe you are too? I don't remember eveyone, but some people I remember well,
you're probably in the same "boat". To some people, I'm sorry. To everybody else I wish a continuous happy life!
"spell check" would have been a good option for "Classmates"
There were a few women At Fremont I had a crush on and were hoping to "get with", I'm still hoping for that,
I'm just playing hard to get and am being very, very, very patient! So watch out!
