Life
Greetings to all of those from Bangor!!! Cannot wait to see you at the Reunion. Even though my profile shows the high school that I graduated from, I will always be a SLATER!! I left Bangor during my sophomore year. My final years in Florida were ok but I always wished I had finished up in Bangor. I still visit from time to time to see my Grandfather and others that are now mostly in Allentown and Reading. After High School, I attended what is now Southern Wesleyan University in Central, SC. It is about 4 miles from Clemson University. After college I went back to Florida to be with my Mom after my father filed for divorce. On my return to Florida, I would meet the young lady that would be my wife. We started dating in April of 1992 and we were married on February 13, 1993. In 1996 we moved to the mountains of East Tennessee. I currently operate a Mobile DJ Company and work for a Occupational Health Company. Tina is a RN at East Tennessee Children's Hospital. growing up to be such a big boy. It is hard to believe that he will be going to school next year. Our second child Zackary Douglas Roberts was born on February 21, 2007. He is growing up so fast. He is a little "delayed" due to being pre-mature and some problems during delivery. He was about six months behind but has made tremendous strides here in the last month and is catching up fast. We currently reside in Kodak, TN. This is just outside of Gatlinburg, TN in the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. We love the area and plan to be here for a long time. From April to September, I also work for a Minor League Baseball Team. 2008 is my 7th season with the team. I am the Music Director for the Tennessee Smokies. The Smokies are the AA Southern League Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy Golf in my spare time. I recently had LASIK eye surgery. I wore glasses or contacts since the sixth grade. NO MORE!! I now have 20/15 vision and I will have it forever. Most of our free time is now spent at Dollywood & Dollywood's Splash Country.
