Doug Leslie (Powell)'s Story
This site is for both Doug and his wife Leslie (Powell) It's a work in progress!
From Doug: Let's see...after HS I went to Denver to study drafting so that maybe I could work my way through college to become an engineer. Well In 1971 my draft number came up (#11 (UGH)) so I joined the Army. Spent 2 years as a military policeman and correctional specialist. Then I joined the Army Reserve (279th Engr Det. at Ft Missoula) and was there 1973 - 1985. I worked a couple different places in Missoula during that time and then in 1980 had the opportunity to rejoin the Army active duty, so did. From there I was stationed a variety of places... Seoul Korea for a couple years, Casper Wyoming, Chicago, Miami, etc etc. I retired from the Army as a Master Sergeant in March of 2000. Moved to Ennis MT as we had bought property there some years ago.

two grown boys from a previous marriage and now another 15 yr old son, Matthew, from the current marriage.
Just finishing up building a house here in Ennis with the help of family and freinds. I'm currently the facility manager at the hospital in Ennis.
This summer we all took a 3-week vacation to Australia. It was my second visit there, the rest of the family's first visit. We spent 5 days in Sydney, then drove along the coast to Melbourne and past on the Great Oean Road. Spent two days in Melbourne, then flew to Cairns, where we spent three days. Got go snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. THAT was fun! We then drove to Brisbane and spent a couple days there before flying back home. We attended the 2010 Internatinal Lions Cub convention while in Sydney and met many Lions throughout Australia. Lots of wonderful people doing great things!
