Workplace
Right out of High School I started Assistant Managing Happy Chef. I finally got tired of that and in March of 1987 I joined the Air Force. I spent the next 4 1/2 years working on KC-135A air refueling aircraft. When Desert Storm ended I was able to continue with my out processing. I left the Air Force 6 weeks before I would have been able to sew on Ssgt. If I had found out sooner I would still be in the Military today. See I told myself that if I didn't make Ssgt in 4 years I was getting out. Well when I tested I missed it by 1/10th of a point. y test scored rolled over and I made it by a mile. By the time I found out I was most of the way out processed so I had to continue. Thats how I ended up back in Mitchell South Dakota! I worked at Twin CIty Fan from 1991 till september 2004 mostly as supervisor on the shop floor except for a 2 year period I worked as Production Scheduler inthe office. Now I live and work In Phoenix Arizona for Sequoia Homes as superintendant scheduling inspecting the work of all the different trades it takes to build our houses. I love the work and being able to be outside all day is way better than being stuck indoors all day long!
