Doug's Story
Life
After graduation I went to college for a bit and started my family early by having my first daughter at age 19. I stayed in the Omaha area working for a print shop til August of 1997. I moved to Colorado to work for a print shop in Colorado Springs. I had another daughter in 1999. I had a 3rd daughter with my current wife in 2007 and am currently living in Woodland Park. We are living in an area with great views and good weather.
College
I spent some time immediately after graduation at Metro Community College in Omaha studying Accounting and Business. After about 3 quarters of school, i dropped out to be a father of a baby girl. In 2003, I...Expand for more
went back to get POST certified as a peace officer and to move onto the law enforcement field.
Workplace
I worked in the printing business in Omaha before moving to Colorado for the same field. After working at that company for the 18 months of my contract I quit to stay at home with my new baby at the time. I was running a disc jockey business at that time. Competition was rough for DJs out here so I started working at the sheriffs department as a dispatcher. After some schooling and hard work, I worked as a deputy for the sheriffs office. October of 2007, I got promoted to a supervisor position--Corporal, and am currently working the night shift.
