Life
Who would have thought we could even use such a tool like this. Passing note in class is a thing of the past. Well, not so, I find notes in the wash. Even the newest generation can't resist the tempation of a note hand written, it seems so much more personal. For me I love the ability to pen thoughts for all to read. I did have many thoughts in High School. I know you probably believe that they sounded a bit clouded by substance. They were! I know now that the pain was great in my life. Heavy handed parenting just dosen't work. Parenting without a hand also finds the same result. I found the answer within. I remember the day so clearly that I died. A life of drugs found its way in my life even after I defeated the use of them I was still challenged by the isanity to follow. You know a joint turns into beer as a beer turns into a bottle of booze and so on. No one told me about the insanity to follow. I'm not talking of the next day or so. Mine just kept following, it would not let go. I wrapped myself in my carrer. I was good! Still fighting a fight with something, I continued onward truly believing that it would go away. As the days turned into months, months into years, then came a decade. Sober and insane still so much pain. Until I cried out to God, did I find my answer. It was then that I saw...Expand for more
the path that I walked. I was really not much different then you. I found that the Word of God shed light on this my life. Its been 10 years since that day. Life is still full of choices. In His Word I find the right choice. My story isn't this brief nor was our lives together in our childhood years. I can't pen my story without you and never will it end without Him. I love you all with all my heart may the Lord Jesus Christ dwell in you forever Amen Doug
School
My biggest crush?Well I don't kiss and tell.I can't say that a teacher found their way into a mentor position with me.
College
College years where spent in Santa Barbara. I had a great Aunt and Uncle. We enjoyed our time together. Their time has passed now. I still want to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart for all the chances to do well. The love you expressed has never left my heart even at my lowest time. You taught me what courage is. That its a place in the heart where you don't find fear only the will to strive for the best life has to offer. It is only now that I understand 23 years later the lessons that they taught. A slow learner maybe but never the less a learnt man. School can only offer so much, most of lifes lessons come from those you hold the closest. So many memories so little time Your Friend forever Doug
