Douglas's Story

Life Hi, everyone. I retired from the Army after 22 years, and now work as an Engineer at Raytheon. My wife and I live near the capital, far from California. Got to go where the work is! We both love to travel, and and been all over the world. Best wishes to classmates. College BS Business Administration, Hawaii Pacific University BS Computer Science, University of Maryland MS Information Technology, Virgina Tech Workplace After almost 22 years in the military, I'm now called a chief engineer at some job working for Raytheon. I say "called", cause I don't know where they got the idea I was an engineer. ...Expand for more
Military I joined the Army in 1980, and served for 21 1/2 years. I went from Artillery to Infantry to mainframe computers to satellite station chief. I've been Airborne, Air Assault, and Master Fitness. I've served in bad places with people shooting at us, and really nice places where you would least expect it. It was a great ride. On the way, I was stationed in cool places like Hawaii, Arizona, Germany, with temporary assignments in Africa, Greenland, and the far east. During my career, I managed to get two Associates, two Bachelor's and a Master's. I'm proud to have served, and proud of those who are serving still.
