Douglas's Story
Life
I attended Lander College '76-'78 and then Clemson '78-'81. I finished Clemson in 1981 with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and immediately moved to New Orleans, working for Exxon.
In 1983, I got married and we had children (two daughters) in '86 and '92. Over the time period from '82 to '92, I attended Tulane Unoiversity at night and finshed with a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in '92. I continued to work for Exxon (in New Orleans) in various engineering positions...Expand for more
in the offshore end of the petroleum industry from '81 to '97. In '97 I left Exxon and moved to an office across the street with Amoco, again working in deepwater drilling. In '99 with the merger of BP and Amoco, I moved to Houston, Texas where I presently live with my family and work in deeepwater drilling for BP. As of Spring 2007, I am still married to my original wife and have a daughter who is a junior Oklahoma Univerity and another daughter who is a freshman in high school in Houston.
