Douglas's Story
After graduating HS I went to school full time at the University of Il (Circle Campus) while working full time at Interlake Steel Mill. es as Iran (nice revolution), Iraq. Of course there were the great places. China (I spent 47 weeks learing to speak, read, and write Manduran )(but don't ask me now - it's been 30 years). The Phillippipines - everyone there spoke english. And a couple dozen other countries.
I am currently working as a Service Tech (mechanic) for my local Lincoln Mercury Dealership. All the jobs I was offered after retiring from the Air Force were either overseas or in a big city. I spent 13 years overseas and I'm from Chicago. My two younger kids were basically raised overseas so I wanted to give them a small town experiance. My wife Melinda and I have been living in Fort Walton Beach Florida since 1991.
