Douglas's Story
Life
Hey everybody! Wow how time flys! I can't believe that it has been 27 years since we cruised the halls of Richard Gahr High School. Well alot has happened in my life. After spending a decade in Hawaii surfing every conceivable break possible and working various jobs from lifeguard to a beach boy teaching people how to sail a Hobey Cat to tending bar at the local clubs. I met and married a local girl and had a beautiful girl named Tasia Marie Maile Ka Melemakani Longoria (now that's a mouthfull)! Tasia is now 21 years old and working as an administrative secretary in charge of operations for the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii. After my first marriage disolved I
took a road trip to New York City (for peace of mind) and low and hehold I found the love of my life, my beautiful wife Christina (we got married in October of 1993). I worked as a bar tender at the infamous Hard Rock Cafe for over 10 years and then I was done with New York City (or so I thought). d 8 on tax day, and then there is Charlie boy. He is of 5 1/2 and all boy. You know the saying, "the apple didn't fall far from the tree?" well it is very applicable with Charlie. Along with our kids we also have 2 dogs Rufus and Lucy both Blue Healers and very loyal. We are very happy with our life in Colorado as we have established a great set of friends, a lovely church community and schools. As I mentioned before that I thought we were through with the east coast....well lets put it this way, if a job comes up that's worthwhile, we would be back there is a heart beat. I hope this message finds all of you in good health and good spirits.
Aloha,

College
After a lengthy time away from academia I finally went back to school (1998) at the University of Denver and graduated Cum Laude in 2001 with a degree in Environmental Science. I also sit on the board of 3 National Honor Societies and love mentoring young students about their career paths and life's agenda. After a brief time working with NOAA and the WB2 doing various weather related jobs I have now moved into the private sector.
