Before moving back down here, I was living in the U.P. (Escanaba) for 5 great years until the economy went bust and I was forced to move back to Lansing to find employment. After High School, I worked in the Lansing area until !975. I joined the U.S.Navy in March 1975. I went to basic training and "A" school in San Diego, Ca. From there I was ordered to the USS Piedmont AD-17 stationed in Naples, Italy. I returned to the states in September 1977. I transferred to the USS Prairie AD-15 in January 1977.
