See my picture, mug shot, photo. I Have lived in Vancouver, WA., Puyallup, WA., Seattle, WA., and Fort Worth, TX, Palmdale, CA. and finally Valencia, CA. I Worked for Boeing and now Lockheed Martin. Schools Attended: Fort Vancouver High School (my picture is in the 1973 year book), Clark College (in Vancouver, WA.), University of Portland (Oregon) and finally the University of Washington.
During the course of my career, I have amassed a wide range of experience spanning the defense business in increasingly responsible positions, including Senior Staff Engineer for the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company in Fort Worth, Texas, and Lead Engineer / Deputy Manager for the Lockheed Martin Advance Development Programs in Palmdale, California. I have won praise from co-workers for paying attention to the small things like remembering people's names, listening closely to their presentations, and not embarrassing underlings in public. wledged my design efforts with a Maximum cash award and plaque at the Boeing Special Invention Award ceremonies in Seattle, Washington. At Lockheed I am acknowledged as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a specialty field.
I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Portland (Multnomah School of Engineering) and a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Washington.
Life changes are inevitable and I am doing my best to embrace it. It seems useless to strain against it and I would probably die of boredom for the lack of it.
Life in my career has been the greatest adventure that I could have ever embarked on. I have met people from all occupations in different parts of the world. I like to think that I have made a positive difference in the lives of people I have worked with, but wonder if I am not simply a tool in the right place at the right time. The opportunities working in Aerospace has provided a myriad of experiences I would not have seen had my life unfolded differently.
All my children are all grown up and married. I have five granddaughters and two grandsons. I am a single man living in California.
