Douglas's Story
Life
I am known as Nexist online.
Graduated, went to college, dropped out, hung out in various underground cultures, was homeless, crawled out, became a computer professional, got married, had four children, worked at various places (highlights: Microsoft, IBM, Intel) doing Quality Assurance, watched economy tank on High Tech, got divorced, rejoined the Naval Reserves. I came back from Kuwait (nov 07) and am back in Portland.
School
I pretty much loathed High School.
College
I have been to several schools and colleges.
Workplace

Military
I joined the Navy Reserves in 1984. I left in 1988 due to ideological concerns (I identified as an anarchist). After some eye opening experiences and after actually living life, I decided to rejoin in 2003 for reasons totally unrelated to the attacks of 11 September 2001. I drill in Portland, Oregon. My unit's gaining command is in Japan, so I travel there once a year in support of various Naval operations. I am currently stationed in Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I came back in October.
