Douglas's Story
Have lived in many places since leaving Winnipeg in 1978. Moved to Toronto, then Dominican Republic where we briefly got involved in the hotel restaurant business. And it was brief lasting only 6 months, then back to Toronto for a year then to Vancouver for 2 years where I met Shirley my wife still.. Transferred to Los Angelas in 83 until 85 when we moved to Florida, first Tampa then Ft Lauderdale for 6 years. Had our son James there in end of 89. Returned to Ontario in 92 to Burlington where Shirley's parents lived. Have had many business interests resulting in a lot of domes...Expand for more
tic and international travel. Had our daughter Caileigh in 96 who is about to attend University of Western Ontario in London in Sept. She is a great student and wonderful daughter. James is 25 now and still at home working full time. He was an excellent Football player before injuries eventually caught up to him. Now he just golfs with Dad. Lost both parents on the same date Aug 5th but 18 years apart. Miss them both. Older brother died 5 years ago and younger brother moved to Costa Rica where he is having a blast.
