Douglas's Story
I , Doug Stokes, attended Knoxville College (BA degree), Howard University (MS degree), and The University of Tennessee (MS degree). I have worked 38 years in the educational field (special education teacher, counselor, assistant principal, and principal) in the Knox County and Blowing County Schools (grades 9-12). I have also coached high school sports (cross country, tennis, and baseball). I am a deacon at Rogers Memorial Baptist Church (Knoxville, TN) and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. I spend most of my time working with the church benevolent committee and mentoring the youth through a mediation board program.
I retired from the school system in 2013 but I am actively involved in the schools as a substitute teacher and I am still serving as a high school official. EOHS Class of 1965 ð
