Douglas's Story
Life
Aloha y'all !
A quick synopsis: After trying college at Univ. of Illinois joined the AirForce 1978-1982, a very good move. Spent 4 wonderful years in England and learned Electonics, made it all the way to Staff Sergeant in record time, lived in a 300 year old house in a beautiful village.
Next stop, Texas, where plenty of Defence Electronics Work in the 1980s, working for Texas Instruments. Went to night school, and finally graduated in 1993 with a degree in MIS.
Then worked for Ticketmaster in Computer Management until the dot-com bust started rough times.
Spent 2004 in Chicago, and finally followed my dream to Maui in 2005 to 2007, where I started a Small Business doing PC house-calls. Well, paradise got a little too ...Expand for more
expensive.... now back in Texas in the the North Dallas suburbs.
Now single, had a few long-term relationships, married 10 years, 1985-1995, to Randi Boucher, now my best friend (sometimes a divorce can save a friendship).
3 years Back in Plano,TX 4 surgeries.. But had Excellent Health Insurance.
Now back home in Sweet Home Chicago, trying to Rehab from the Results of those Sureries, on North Side (No Boos !), but ultimately want to follow my Heart (wink,wink, nudge nudge) back to Maui.
Military
Was in the Air Force 1978-1982, 4 and a half great years repairing aircraft electronics for the F111 Fighter Bombers in the Statue of Liberty Wing at RAF Lakenheath, living in a 300 year-old house in the beautiful village of Brandon.
