Douglas's Story
Like many of us in our class, I was drafted in 1967, so i went ahead and enlisted for 3 years in return for a avionics training, rather than serving in the infantry. 17 months in Germany, 13 in Viet Nam. after a year and a half in pointless and meaningless jobs, I lucked out and landed an apprenticeship at Lockheed and ended up staying for 36 years.
I traveled all over the world for the company as a field engineer on various projects. Good gig.
I spent the last 14 years of my career living on the island nation of Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean supporting reconnaissance operations for USAF on British RAF base. Another good gig.
I am now unencumbered by employment (Retired in '08) and i'm relishing the freedom.

I'm a below average golfer. and a way above average skier. Those of you who remember me from the day recall that I was a surf rat from the git go and was fairly proficient. Too old to surf now, but lots of good memories were made at Cabrillo and Royal Palms.
I do lots of hobbies and crafts, but mostly just to occupy the mind and stay innovative.
Life has been good to me - start to finish - and I wouldn't change much, if any.
Bless all of you who may read this and remember me. Not a day goes by that I don't reminisce about high school days and people whose paths I crossed.
I hope I'm still around for next years big 50 reunion. I plan on being there, but you never know when life is gonna toss you a curve ball.
