Trace's Story
Life-
Jeff and I have been married for eighteen years. We have three children. Andrew is twelve, Benjamin is eleven, and Karoline in nine. We live in the Sagemont area and attend Sagemont Church.
We home school our children. They attend a campus one day a week for tests/instruction. We love the freedom we have to travel, go camping and spend a lot of time together making memories. Some of my passions are: my husband, teaching, cooking, taking Precept Inductive Bible study classes, singing, serving others, scrapbooking, having fun/laughing and learning with my children.
We have a farm (of animals)...just kidding. We have three bunnies, too many cats, one tortiose, one Jack Russell Terrier and two Jabber Doodles.
School-
Mrs. Ligon and Sister Ann inspired me the most.
If I could redo high school again I would want to change things, BUT then I would probably not be the person I am today because of those experiences. So I would have to say good and bad I would not change anything about my life at O.C.
The funniest thing at school was watching Sister Dorathy do "the Christmas tree" my first week of school.
Workplace-
My first job was at Sea Arama my sophomore summer of high school.
During college I worked several days a month cleaning Fannie Mae Repos. I also wo...Expand for more
rked in the food service industry.
After I married in 1990, I worked Real Estate until mid-1993. I became a stay at home wife. Spring 1994, I began teaching Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Gymnastics at Kennedy Dance Theatre (formerly Dance Tree) in Clear Lake several hours a week. I continued this hobby until the birth of my third child 1999.
I have continued to be a stay at home mom volunteering with different projects/fundraisers. This in turn has led to job opportunities. I worked as the Restaurant/catering manager for Massa's Seafood Grill & Massa's Restaurant in downtown Houston. I could not consider this "work" despite the long hours because I loved learning trade skills from the chef, meeting new people and serving parties in the upscale atmosphere.
Last year '07-'08 I taught Ancient History and Catapults to 6-8th graders on Friday mornings. This year '08-'09 I am teaching How to build a PC to 6-8th graders and Basic Logic to 3-6th graders.
I work seven hours a week at Manheim Auto Auction. It has a great atmosphere, high pay for few hours. You cannot beat that, almost!
Military-
Kudos to all those who serve in the armed force! I do not think I could do what they so bravely do each day for us to have and keep the freedom we enjoy every day.
Thanks to all who give!
