More about Drew:"100% honest? - I'm a gay dude with AIDS and Bipolar Disorder. AIDS isn't killing me, I was diagnosed in '98, so that makes me a long term survivor. I'm doing fine.
Bipolar hasn't made me any crazier than I already was. I've struggled with Bipolar since high school, but it's been a bigger issue the last couple of years. Things are improving a great deal now, and I'm generally fine. You wouldn't even notice that I'm not in good health if you met me in person. I'm kind and honest. I have a fun/stupid/dark sense of humor. We'd be best buds if you knew me.
I'm doing a little bit of volunteer work, but my resolution for 2011, is to do MORE volunteer work. If I can find things that I'm able to do, why not do them? I should be giving back to the community. I enjoy helping wherever I can. Being busy, and simply having things to do, helps me cope with bipolar. I have to be careful about overdoin...Expand for more
g it physically, but if I can work out at the gym 3 times a week, I KNOW I can help other people. There are individuals, and companies, and charities that need a helper. Maybe I could be that person. I want to make a difference, even if it's a small one.
A past hobby of mine was taking care of my 1976 Cadillac Superior Hearse. I seem to be known all over for driving that car. Unfortunately, I had to trade it. After putting all my money into making it mechanically reliable, it began to rust extremely fast. There were bubbles showing up all over the body, and under the vinyl roof. I didn't have another $6K to restore it's appearance, so I was forced to trade it before it lost more of it's value do to rust issues. So it's been gone since March of 2010, and I miss it dearly. Because of being disabled, and on medical assistance, I am only allowed to own 1 car at a time. A 2nd car is considered a luxury. So to drive the hearse everywhere had it's inconveniences. But now, I'm very lucky to have a nice, SMALL, practical car again. You can see TONS of photos of the hearse and I in my photo albums here on Facebook. I named the hearse, "Fluffy" : )
