Duane's Story
What a great ride! Two incredible kids that have great careers, We have 5 cool grand children that I love to tease and be with! We are snow birds with our home in Somers, New York and Hobe Sound, Florida.
I had a 13 mo. stint in the Vietnam war. The highlight of my days in Vietnam was walking the Ho Chi Ming trail for three months with my infantry company and I was unlucky enough to crash in an Army Bird Dog light observer plane 6 months into my tour working as an Ariel observer!! I am a retired army officer with a total time of 35 years of service and 23 in the NYARNG and 23 years at Motorola. It was a thrill selling state of the art electronics to our government with Motorola and Nextel.
Lately, I set up a mentor program at my Alma mater Norwich University. I was able to coordinate Students with Alums in career fields, students were interested in joining. Most of the alums were able to help with internships and mentor them into jobs.
