Duffy's Story
Well first off I am not in the 1980 year book. I missed out on that. I was the fool with the white GTO in 1978 who got chased by the cops at lunch and roared past the school doing 130. After high school I joined the Air Force where I made a career. I have been married twice, the first marraige lasted 10 years and produced my wonderful Som, Matthew Duffy McGough II. He is the one thing in life that came out perfest. I had a second wife, that was a short lived relationship that ended badly all the way arround. I am clean and sober now since April of 2004. My life has taken amazing turns since then. I am now very much in love with and in a relationship with my high school sweetheart Jeannie (Bible) Bishop (class of 79). Like I said life has taken me to an amazing place. I live in Santa Barabara Ca. and I still love Cars and of course Skiing, camping, fishing and cave exploration and deep repelling verticle shafts. Skydiving is my rush, but I have not done it for a while. I just had a total hip replacement.
As anyone who knows me can tell you, I live for laughs, and friends are all important. God comes first because with no God I have nothing and no one. I am no bible thumper, just a christian. I am sure that many of my ...Expand for more
NPHS buddies could tell you I was always spiritual in one way or another. I was rowdie for sure. I am sure each of my friends have their own stories about my madd doings.....Share them with me, I love a good story. My friends back then---You all played a role in my life, some more than others. Jeannie taught me how to truely love someone, I carried her love across the years through good and bad. Amazingly after 32 years we are together. Thanks to e mail and the last five years of electronic courtship, we are finally together again. I am a fortunate man who survived the hell of a rowdie life and came through great after getting sober life began to give me more than I could ever ask for. Amazing huh? Duffy clean and sober? I am! Sobriety brought me full circle and here I am back with the love of my life. Jeannie was the greatest loss of my life and now she is my greatest gain. I am proud to be her husband and after 33 years apart I cherish each new day for the promise of facing our lives together with her at my side the world is shiney and new, full of wonder and dreams. God I love this dream come true. I love my wife and all she has brought into my world. We are a family and My heart is filled with love from all within it.
