Durie's Story
Life
In the fall of 1963, I went to Johnson C. Smith University (a predominately Black College) where I played football and ran track. The following year, I transferred to Buffalo State where I played basketball.
From 1966 - 1970, I served in the U. S. Air Force. While in the Air Force, I got married and had a baby girl. I returned to Buffalo State in 1970 where I continued my college and sport careers.

okie and Veteran basketball trials for the Buffalo Braves Professional Basketball Team. In 1986, I was inducted into the Buffalo State Hall of Fame for my endeavors in basketball and track.
In 1974, I started my career with the IRS and just recently retired as the Special Agent-in-Charge of the Criminal Investigation Division for Upstate New York on June 1, 2001. During my time with the IRS, I remarried and had two more children (boy and girl).
