Dwayne's Story

Hi Guys and Gals, 5-16-08-- 10-19-09 below Well, if I told you about the real Dwayne I'd have to kill ya so I'll tell you about who I hope I am. After High school I went to work as a auto mechanic then changed to a body man and painter because it was easier and paid better. I did that until 2000. Mostly for dealerships or speciality shops, I even had my own shop for 10 years( the last 10 ) I tried farming from 1974 til 1977 but I couldn't afford it as a hobby and I sure couldn't make a living farming so I went back to what I knew best . Auto repairs. I married Jamie Dee in May -1970 and she divorced me in '79 , We had one child . A daughter in Sept '71, Angela Nicole. She and Jamie live in Lubbock . I have 1 Grand son, Justin. I ran into Reha Law Campbell at the club one night in 1980 I think, and we married about 5 years later. She had two kids, Gena and Jon Campbell . I helped her raise them until 1991 when she too filed for freedom. I met Brenda Cox Moody in 1992 again at the bar . Laugh ( Fruit Stand Cox's are her Mom and Dad ). we have been married for about 12 years , ( go ahead and do the math, I'm getting better or smarter ? )Brenda has 2 sons, Lan and Justin Moody. Lan is 30 and married ,lives in Lubbock and works as an engineer for thr RR. Justin is 25 , currently lives with us while starting his own divorce file( 1) . He works for a different RR( here) . Both are smarter than I was. Brenda and I have a pretty nice life and a great family support circle .My Mom and Dad are both gone, I sure miss them . My Sis , Barbara, Married Herman Wheatley Jr . They are both retired and live just west of the Stices house on the Plains Highway. After many years in the body shops , my breathing got so bad that I could no longer tolerate the dust and paint at the body shop. I sold my farm and drove Over the road for CFI trucking out of Joplin Mo. for several years then drove for the salt plant at Seagraves , after that during cotton season I hauled cotton bales from here to the CO OP compress at Lubbock for Sammy Cox. Everybody remembers Sam, don't you ? In my own shop I did request body and paint work , built drag race cars , Race motors , chassis and suspension work on race cars as well as custom repairs and restoration work. I owned a 1/4 mile drag car most of my life . Including my '56 Chevy BelAir in High school and ending in '92 with a 1970 Z - 28 Camaro RS , Pro / Super Pro drag car. Depending upon the bracket I ran (pro or Super pro ) and how much Nitros Oxide I allowed the 350 cid darling to ingest . It ran from 11.50 seconds at 118 MPH ( no NO2 ) to a quickest of 10.45 seconds at 120.00 MPH on the bottle , at Tulsa OK in the Championship Bracket Racing Association (CBRA)finals in 1991. I'm now a recovering (?) cancer patient as of 3 weeks ago. I was diagnoised with Multiple Myeloma in Jan. this year and declaired in Full Remission 3 weeks ago. Multiple Myeloma is cancer of the Bone Marrow ...Expand for more
and seems to have nothing to do with anything you might have done or not done in your previous life style .
