Dwyte's Story
Life
I recently read that the goal was not to enter your grave neat and well preserved but to slide in sideways, utterly spent and wasted, yelling "Holy shit, what a ride!" That works for me. West Genessee was the first of three high schools in three states. Hempfield Area High School in Pennsylvania and Western High School in Las Vegas saw me before I graduated. I married my high school sweetheart from Western High School in 1969 and we continue to this day, 2 children and 2 grandchildren later. My greatest accomplishments are Eddy and Becky, my son and daughter. I attended Northwestern University and went to the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. I was in the US Air Force and set up a dental practice in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1977, where I still practice today. Most recently, I completed my term as President of the Nevada Dental Association and I am working on the next set of goals. The ass-slide to the grave continues. Dwyte E. Brooks, DMD, FAGD, FADI

rst high school and I have fond memories of the friends I got to know over a 3 year period I was able to live in Syracuse. My father was a nuclear physicist and the various projects took me all over the country. Although I got to know a lot a folks at WGHS, I have not been able to keep in contact with any. I keep regular contacts with friends from Hempfield High School in Pennsylvania and Western High School in Las Vegas even though I only spent about 1/2 the time at those schools. I do hope to find out what happened to some of my past friends from this part of my life and fill in a few holes in my memory.
College
Northwestern was an amazingly wonderful experience. I worked hard but enjoyed the experience of a great college. The University of Kentucky was an awesome southern college experience as well. Since I spent most of my time at UK trying to survive dental school, I don't remember as much of the fun as most of the underclassmen, but the SEC is as uniquely memorable as the Big 10.
