Life
So many changes have happened in the last 2 years. I am not just teaching again but was promoted to a director position at a near by college and loving every minute of it. The one thing that is a constant, is CHANGE! I LOVE TO TEACH !!! So I teach in the mornings and perform the Director's position the rest of the time! Michael and I have been married almose for 24 yrs now. We have 2 boys, Michael Jr. Almost 21 and Ryan 16. Little Michael (haha, 6 ft 260 lbs) graduated and Ryan is a Junior. Big Michael & I have been through alot in the past 23 years together but Praise the Lord we are still holding strong. God has been gracious to us! I hope this year I get to go on another missionary trips down to Mexico or Kenya with Fruited Plains ministry. When you first serve as a missionary you sometimes feel like you are going there to serve but at the end of the trip you realize you were served and feel like you have received more love than you could ever give or dared to feel worthy of.
School
Take your pick as to the funniest. These are just some of my adventures, but they are my favorites. (With Casi & Diana) Driving back from a Choir concert in Casi's Pinto with no seats, burning our butts off, and trying to stick our heads out of the window so we'd stop breathing in the exhaust fumes . Ending up at Round Table Pizza to have a salad and of course, FOOD FIGHT!!!!! It's hard to wash your hair in the sink there, believe me!
Then,my best friends graduated and left me behind.
So.... In my Senior year, I met up with Carl(we still talk and text even though I'm in CA and he's in Tenn.), Eric and David at Charter Oak Park one Fr...Expand for more
iday night. They were playing quarters and had a huge bottle of JD. I was wearing a long skirt & heels, having just returned from a date. The cops came flying up lights and all, when the guys disappeared over the wall. Eric tossing me his keys mid flight. I've never seen anyone go over a wall so fast in my life. The cops asked "Where did your boyfriend go"? I told him "I was with SADD and had been called to come get some friends"! (Ha, Ha) He didn't believe me, needless to say. I handed him my Pepsi can and he verified I hadn't been drinking, (YET). I had to show him that I had "my friends" keys to finally get him to leave me alone. Mean while the guys were laying in the field behind the park, hiding. I think it was Eric that got stepped on by one officer. He had a foot print on the back of his jacket. I drove around picking them up one by one. We were shaking, laughing and sober instantly!
Final pick, Jennifer & I were driving around by twin lanes and up through San Dimas, when we saw flashing lights behind us. Knowing we'd been drinking we shoved Reeses Peanut Butter Cups in our mouths to mask the smell of the booze. When the officer walked up, I began to cry. I rolled down the window to talk to him. He asked " Are you lost"? I cried harder and said "Yes, we live at the beach and came here to a party and got lost. Can you tell me where Via Verde is?" The officer said " You're on Via Verde!" (I thought I was going to jail and hell for drinking and lying) I asked if he could lead us to the freeway so we could just go home. He said " Follow me." I thanked God and said I'd never drink and drive again! I never did.
