E. June's Story
My son is back from Japan. The Covid Lock-Down was hard on him emotionally. He is living at home now & teaching in the St. Charles School District. Talking about getting his wife & son here to the states as well. Schools are not that good in Japan & our grandson needs a better education. Our eldest daughter lost her husband a little over a year ago & finally moved back to Missouri from VA. She needed her family ariound her. The other two girls & their husbands are doing fine. Grandchildren? 1 in Japan, age 13; 2 in San Antonio area; and 1 living with her mom here in St. Louis when she is not in college in VA. ting & studying the history of our family. My dining room table is covered with photographs & stories I have written about Mark's & my families. It has been a huge project, but very satisfying. We had family who originally came from Europe & Ireland & Scotland,, as well as Native American family. It is amazing what information can be found when surfing the web. I found photos of my great-great-grandfather, the Cherokee Indian, as well as his wife who was half Cherokee. Lockdown is not so bad when one has a project. I will be giving the photo/story books to each of my children for Christmas 2021, as well as have a book for Mark & me.. This is why my dining room is covered in photos & stories I have written! Need to finish up before it becames an epic "War and Peace."
