Earl's Story
Shortly after graduation I joined the Houston Police Department at the young age of 20 years. Boy was I young when I became a cop. I figured since I always liked to drive fast I would be a good cop. It wasn¿t long before people were shooting at me and that sure raised the adrenaline level, almost like driving real fast. During school I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up but suddenly I found that being a cop is what I really wanted to be.

So I went back to college and on to law school. After graduation, I started a new career as a lawyer. I first thought being a prosecutor with the Harris County District Attorney¿s Office would be cool, but after doing that for four and a half years I left and went out on my own.
Well kind of on my own, my daughter and I started up our own law firm, Musick & Musick, LLP. For the past five and one half years we have defended people charged with criminal acts. It is very interesting work and the work is very rewarding. In 2008, the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association named JoAnne and I as Attorneys of the Year.
