Earl's Story
Life
I live in South Bend, IN. I am retired, sort of. I spent my working career in the Environmental laboratory testing business and retired as GM of a drinking water compliance laboratory in South Bend. My wife, Barbara and I moved here 10 years ago from outside Philadelphia, PA. She retired two years ago after 24 years working in the marketing dept. of Roy F. Weston, an environmental consulting firm headquartered in Philadelphia PA. We play as much golf as we can, enjoy gardening, reading, traveling in the U.S. and visiting our five grandchildren. his is the second marriage for both of us. We have been married 26 years and have 5 children. We spend February and March in FL, where we stay about a block away from Gary and Kathy Flagstad and enjoy golf and doing other stuff with them.
I still chair a technical meeting every summer, consult some, do a volunteer work here in South Bend (mostly in the local schools) and am teaching this fall at Indiana University at South Bend (freshman chemistry for nurses and other health care students).
We are loyal Notre Dame fans (I had a postdoctoral fellowhip at ND from '69-'71) and thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
