Earl's Story

Life Upon graduation from Frederick Douglass High School, I immediately started working for Rentex Services Corporation, a textile industry. I worked for Rentex eighteen months until interviewed and hired at General Motors Assembly Plant, in Baltimore, Maryland. I was assigned to the Fisher Body Division, as a spot welder, a job that was dangerous, difficult, and easy to dislike.Following that ordeal I elected to join the United States Air Force, waiting six months to enter basic training ai Lackland Air Force Base, Texas on Decembr 21, 1976. After basic I was assigned to Chanute AFB, Illinois for Aircraft Electrcal Systems Tecnical Training School. I was assigned to Warner Robbins AFB, Georgia as my first active duty assignment with the 28th Bomb Wing working on B-52G Bombers and KC-135 Tanker aircraft. In 1979 I received orders to Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, to work on F4E fighter aircraft for a year. Afterwhich I was reassigned to Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota to work B-52H's, KC-135's, EC-135's. After a year i assigned to Moody AFB, Georgia to work F-4E'S later F-16A&B aircraft. After six years I received orders to RAF Upper Heyford in England where I stayed for six years until reassigned to Seymour Johnson AFB, No...Expand for more
rth Carolina where I retired after 20 years of military service. After attending college at Wayne Community College , NC Wesleyan College, Mount Olive College, and Georgia Military College, I went to work for the State of North Carolina Department of Transportation Division of Motor Vehicles as a Title Examiner. After three years of working titles and indemnity bonds, creating and validating salvage and customer vehicle titles, I was hired as a Driver License Examiner where i'm actively working right here, right now! I've used my learning from the musical exposure of my life cycle , to form three vocal groups while on active duty in the Air Force. One of the groups was secular and the other two were gospel. One a quartet and the other a sextet singing, praising and worshiping the Christ , Jesus. I was blessed to have directed a mass choir for the church in which I was a member fora season of two and a half years. There I was able to resurrect the musical theory skills I aquired from the music program at Fredrick Douglass High School. I have recently entered a new realm of praise and musical ministry, walking in the calling of Psalmist. My son being an excellent pianist, often acompany me wherever I minister in word and song.
