I graduated this month from the Equine Management and Training Program at Arapahoe Community College as a certified professional equine manager and trainer. After two shoulder surgeries and a knee replacement (November 2019), I can't do much training, but I continue to teach therapeutic riding to special needs kids, which I have been doing for three years this time. For the past couple years, I have been in the Equine Management and Training Program at Arapahoe Community College. It took this long, but I have decided on what I want to do...be a horse trainer, and I have formally and officially embarked on the path to becoming certified as a horse trainer. I have leased a horse for training, and I am working with another horse and trainer to meet the lab hours requirements for the course. Currently volunteering at two PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horseman) programs, one with veterans and one with special needs kids.
