Life
I'm in Arlington, Texas now..........I had to come back home to the South.......
Hi old school friends!!! After finishing undergrad at Tuskegee University- I moved to NYC and have lived here for the past 11 years and have recently changed careers. I worked in Finance for 6 yrs..(this bored me to tears)....worked for an Internet company for 1 yr(we know what happened to most of them :-) ) About three years ago I went back to school full time to study Fashion Merchandising and it has been an incredible experience. I finished my degree and started working in the Industry. I've always wanted to do something creative and this fueled my passion for entrepeneurship.....I had been decorating for weddings, showers, and other special events for years but was not interested in making that a viable business. my own business designing and hand crafting decorative pillows. "Sheer Bliss by Eboness"! I will be debuting my collection at street festivals and fairs this summer and will eventually sell via the web. I feel like I have the best of both worlds.....I can use my creative talents and my biggest goal is to be able to quit my day job!!!! It is hard work, but when you do what you love it really isn't "work" at all. That was my quest, and I think I've found what I was looking for.
On a more personal front.....I'm not married nor do I have kids yet, but it is something that I would like to have one day. As a Christian woman, I striving every day to enjoy my station in life and count all of the good things that I have to be grateful for as well as learning from the trials. It ain't easy, but it's "life"!!
